Established in 1972, Carolina Forest includes 12.6 miles of roads and 1,120 lots nestled between the Uwharrie  Mountains and Morrow Mountain State Park. The community has prospered and currently includes nearly 200 homes, with several new ones under construction. Approximately 250 people enjoy living here year round including young couples, families, and retirees.

Carolina Forest includes amenities for all ages. Along the lake you will find a marina with boat slips which may be rented on an annual basis, a boat-launching facility, and temporary parking for boats while you rest during a good day of fishing or water skiing. Beside the lake, you will also find a swimming pool with a bathhouse facility located in the clubhouse. The clubhouse serves as a community gathering place, hosting meetings and seasonal celebrations.

The Lake in the Pines portion of the community includes a small private lake owned by the Association. A campground is located on one side of the lake. Nature trails, playgrounds, and picnic areas provide opportunities for association members to enjoy the natural beauty of the area. Amenities are available to all association members in good standing.

Carolina Forest is nine miles from Troy and Albemarle and an hour away from major cities such as Charlotte, Greensboro, and Winston-Salem. We are just far enough from the fast pace of city life, but close enough to access city attractions within a reasonable drive.
