1.The Walgreen Drug Store in Albemarle has offered to administer flu shots at the CFA clubhouse.The charge will be the same as in the store, which depending on your insurance, may be free.Becky Clay, a full time CFA resident has made the offer.More details, dates, and times to follow.Medical forms will be available in the CFA Office to be filled out prior to your appointment.
2.Our pool had an unscheduled state inspection by the county Health Department last week.Thanks to the daily care provided by Mike, Larry, and Walter, we had no operator discrepancies, and only one hardware issue. Our automatic chlorinator is not routinely keeping the proper levels of chlorine.The Health Department is working with us to most economically resolve the issue.
3.Linda Carlucci has volunteered to take over as the chairperson of the Home and Lot Maintenance Committee.One of tonight’s agenda items will address appointment to this important position.
4.Mark McLean has volunteered to take over as the chairperson of the Marina Committee.One of tonight’s agenda items will address appointment to this important position that Dannie Cox has expertly chaired for several years.
5.Thanks again to Dannie Cox for use of his skid steer in connection with the new camera installation at the clubhouse, and cleaning of the ditches in front of the office.
6.We now have 8 cameras functioning at the clubhouse, in addition to the two at the Lake in the Pines entrance.The increasing number of illegal entries into Lake in the Pines opens the case for installation of a license plate camera.The current quote for that camera and installation is $4,286, with no additional lighting or recording improvements required.We are currently prosecuting an illegal trespasser/gate buster who was detected by the gatehouse attendant, and followed up by maintenance.
7.The Association has an unsecured Storage Area near the maintenance building where Members may store boats, trailers, campers, or other equipment for a maximum of one year.Members must register stored items at the Association office with a description of the item, including registration numbers and an emergency telephone number for the Member.At the end of one year, the Member must re-register the item or remove it.
-CFA may remove and dispose of unregistered or abandoned items in the Storage Area.
-The Association is not responsible for any damages to, or theft of, boats, trailers, campers, or any other items or parts thereof stored in the Storage Area.
-No vehicles or trucks may be parked or stored in the Storage Area.
The year period is up for many individuals, and we will begin moving items out if their CFA registration is not current.
